Responsibilities

  • Be the front line when our clients need technical assistance. Strong desire to provide our clients with a high level of support.
  • Go-to tech support agent, for both our customers and on-site technicians, utilizing phone and email to assist in troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate parts shipments daily, to ensure the servicing technician receives them in a timely manner.
  • Send Service Requests to service providers and confirm booking date and time.
  • Maintain and assist with the development of Service logs, Support library, Q&A database and On-line resources.
  • Assist with the creation and development of support performance metrics and equipment reliability indicators.
  • This role will also have a hand in the development of new designs and improvements.
  • Works closely and effectively with a range of cross-functional associates.
  • Participates in a collaborative team and contributes effectively as a team member. Works in cooperation with a creative design team, design engineers, vendors and manufacturing personnel.

Qualifications

  • Prefer 3-5 years’ experience providing a high level of customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures and regulations.
  • Creative with a strong technical ability, good analytical skills; organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Strong Computer Skills: MS Office (Word, Excel), CRM (Salesforce).
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Limited availability to answer before/after-hours calls for servicing technician or customer support.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour

The Technical Product Manager position will be responsible for the management of one entire product line. This would include R&D, sourcing, purchasing, vendor management and continuation engineering, and other related areas for a commercial equipment business. Responsibilities

  • Works closely and effectively with a range of cross-functional associates.
  • Prepare and provide design & engineering documentation of new products, custom parts, and custom components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design or manufacturing issues on existing products.
  • Revise and redraw, as required, production drawings.
  • Participates in a collaborative team and contributes effectively as a team member. Provide final design documentation of assembly designs for new products in cooperation with a creative design team, Design engineers, Vendors, and manufacturing personnel.
  • Establish new product bills of materials, material specifications, and tolerances.
  • Manage change process on current production models.
  • Provide support in meeting customer expectations and requirements.
  • Release manufacturing and supplier drawings via proper ECO processes.
  • Provide product information to other resources (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Tech. Services, etc.).
  • Apply Design for Manufacturability to all facets of product development and modification.
  • Lead the transition of products from concept through to testing and production.
  • Complete engineering tests and compile all relevant data into reports.
  • Ensure proper timing of purchase orders and outgoing product deliveries based upon vendor and customer requirements.
  • Utilize all forms of sourcing techniques to ensure superior product quality, availability, and pricing.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree with 2-5 years of work experience preferred or equivalent combination of education (2 year specialty school or college) and in field mechanical engineering.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for both internal and external interactions.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures and regulations.
  • Experience managing multiple vendors/manufacturers concurrently.
  • Creative with a strong technical ability, good analytical skills; organized and detail oriented. Ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to perform complex design drafting via all standard drawing techniques with little or no supervision.
  • Familiarity with standard purchasing processes.
  • Highly proficient with Solidworks design software.
  • Have working knowledge of a variety of raw materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, sheet metal, and plastics.
  • Strong Computer Skills: MS Office (Excel), CAD, CRM (Salesforce).
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • This job can be physical when prototyping, servicing, or refurbishing equipment. This may involve lifting, lowering, carrying, and bending. Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time and lift to 70 lbs. when required.
